Supposedly it was parked years ago because the fuel pump died....
$600 OBO
I dunno, I can only see this going well

It’s a grey market car too (but with federalized headlights). Might have some good Euro parts, but maybe not $600 worth. Sadly, a quality paint and interior restoration would equal the value of a perfect car, not touching what’s wrong under the hood.

Oh it is? How can you tell? I'm almost tempted to just see if I can make it run, the condition of the paint is definitely unfortunate though....

Small bumper, and no 500 SEL in NA until the 1984 model year.
A car like this either has a minor problem that was neglected, or a major problem. The paint is patina now.

Ohh I didn’t even notice the bumper. So subtle on 126s but still makes a difference. Didn’t know that about the engine availability, cool.
This is very true. Now that I know it's grey market, I want it more....

126s had a less insane DOT bumper than earlier cars, they aren’t too bad, but you really notice at the grille.
There are some desirable Euro options, like trip computer (unlikely on a car this early), lighting, fire extinguisher. Hard to tell what this car has.

I'm gonna try and look at it this week and then we shall find out

Could be a fun beater, but as you know, you gotta pick your battles, it could drive you to insanity.
